Junior Systems Engineer

Position: Junior Systems Engineer / IT Technician

Location: Bournemouth

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm

Role Description:

Fantastic opportunity for a recent IT Systems graduate or Junior IT Support / Infrastructure Technician to solidify and broaden their experience of IT Infrastructure, Support and Security across various client and internal cloud and local environments.

We require an organised and enthusiastic Junior Systems Engineer, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, to assist with the requirements of our growing internal team and client list. The main responsibilities for this role will involve a balance of the following key areas:

• Managing BAU internal support requirements, process and policy management.
• Support client and Appius website systems across AWS and MS Azure, and the Web Development teams.
• Support our ever growing program of automation – deployments, infrastructure creation and management etc.

This is a new role and reflects the ambitious growth and improvement ambitions of the both technical team and the wider company.

Responsibilities:

The role will include but not be limited to:

• Azure Devops - Website deployment pipelines, automation
• Azure Portal and AWS – Client and Development server support
• Task automation - PowerShell
• Office 365
• SSL management
• PC support, management and readiness including Chocolaty or Intune etc
• Process and policy management - Internal IT and Security policy management
• Joiners, movers and leavers
• Client SLA response
• Company IT improvements
• Local network devices management
• Network security - local and cloud
• Website and client system 2nd line support
• Company IT Policies documentation and communication
• DNS
• CDN
