Developer Placement Students

Description:

The main requirement for this individual is to support the development team at Appius, primarily focusing on ASP / ASP.NET development of websites and integration with SQL server. This individual will be supporting the maintenance of approximately 100 existing websites and will be able to produce core 'bread & butter' ASP/ASP.NET websites independently using existing objects and code. Ideally The ideal candidate will have experience in developing dynamic websites with a good grounding in all associated areas such as server/network maintenance and configuration ( Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003) , IIS6 & SQL Server 2000 as well as an understanding of DNS, email and associated technologies. Core production skills are also essential including HTML/CSS/Javascript and basic image editing skills.

Core Skills Required:

• ASP/ASP.NET, VBSCRIPT, C#
• HTML/DHTML/CSS/Javascript
• XML/XSLT
• Actionscript / Flash Development skills valuable

Software / Application Knowledge:

• Dreamweaver 8 / MX
• Visual Studio .NET
• Microsoft SQL Server, IIS 5/6, Lyris SQL, etc
• Flash MX/2004
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)
• Microsoft Visio
• CMS knowledge - Contribute, Ektron (CMS100-300) etc

Personal Situation:

The ideal candidate will already be based in Bournemouth or will have a very strong reason for already relocating to Bournemouth, such as family living down here.
